Meet your new favorite dress. These upcycled play dresses are light, breezy, and so damn twirly. Each piece was upcycled with care from vintage fabrics, like bedsheets, table cloths, pillow cases, and tea towels. Even the binding I used on the sleeves and neckline is thrifted, vintage bias tape.
Each dress has POCKETS, because fuck the patriarchy and we have stuff to carry while wearing our twirly dresses.
This dress is a short, flattering length, perfect for throwing over some bloomers or shorts in the summer, but can also be styled over a turtleneck and tights in the winter.
I’m wearing black shorts under it in these photos and you can see it doesn’t look too exposing because of how gathered the lace parts are.
I also see this being a perfect bathing suit cover up for the beach!
